Intro to Flight Helicopter Lesson

I found an awesome deal on groupon and got it for Jess for something fun for him to do after he took his medical boards.  He said it was one of the funnest things he has ever done! Mountain Ridge Helicopters' experienced pilots steer  flying newbies through the air over notable Logan landmarks. Aspiring aeronauts learn the rules of the aerial road in a 30-minute ground lesson that leads them through the operation of the controls, how to read the gages, and a preflight inspection that ensures the vehicle is safe to fly and contains absolutely no hitchhiking chickens. Once the inspection is complete, new flyers take their skills to the skies, where they’ll have the opportunity to take the controls, practicing basic maneuvers, such as climbs, turns, descents, and hovers, under the tutelage of an experienced pilot.

From the leather-seated cabin of a Robinson R44 Raven II, you can lark through the celestial ceiling, indulging in the aerial views of Logan’s surrounding peaks and valleys. Headsets hug passengers' ears and whisper secrets of the panorama, as relayed by the pilot. From wide windows, guests can snap snapshots of the peaks of the Wasatch Mountain Range, the beautiful fall foliage of the Bear River mountains and Logan Canyon, or the frenzied smoke signals of exam-stricken freshmen roaming the Utah State University campus. Mountain Ridge Helicopters captures each person's trip with a photograph taken with the aircraft, available a couple of days following the flight.
